We're paying our respects to all the prolific musicians, actors, comedians, and cultural icons who died in 2022. On April 5, 1960s pop idol Bobby Rydell died at age 79 from pneumonia. The singer, whose fame was the epitome of a teen pop star in his early years, was just days away from his 80th birthday. On March 30, Tom Parker, singer for British-Irish band The Wanted, died at age 33 from a terminal brain tumor. And prior to that, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins died on March 25 at 50 years old while on tour in South America. This year, we also lost Hollywood icon Sidney Poitier, who died at age 94 on Jan. 6. Miss USA 2019 winner Cheslie Kryst, "Bat Out of Hell" rocker Meat Loaf, funk pioneer Betty Davis, and "Full House" comedian Bob Saget also passed this year.
