Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, accompanied by a delegation of 20 other officials from Croatia for a multiday visit to Southern California, took a tour of the Port of Los Angeles on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
Port of LA Executive Director Gene Seroka and other staff members shared information about port infrastructure, sustainability and supply chain issues with the delegation from Croatia, a major port hub in Europe. San Pedro, where the Port of LA is located, is also home to many residents who have Croatian roots.
Croatia, located in central/southeastern Europe near Italy, has a shipping sector that is growing rapidly. Six international ports and harbors are located within the country: Rijeka, Zadar, Šibenik, Split, Ploče and Dubrovnik.
